ONAR is proud to offer a stunning collection that features 100% shearling and lamb nappa leather, sourced exclusively from byproducts of the food industry. This ethical approach not only minimises waste but also aligns with the principles of a circular economy, ensuring that every piece contributes to sustainability.

Onar Studios' sustainable foundation is built on circular economyand innovative use of ecological shearling. The idea for ONAR was born from the founder Irene Kostas' ambition and passion to better use of resourcesand as an antithesis to fashion's much increasing use of plastic-based materials - always cruelty-freeas no living creature is exploited for our clothes. The aim is to always deliver highest quality both in terms of material and craftsmanship; quality craftsmanship runs in the family of ONAR founder & creative director Irene Kostas.

ONAR only uses premium shearling that is byproduct of food and would otherwise go to waste; all shearlings are traceable European origin (Britain, Italy, Iceland, Spain and Greece)and the clothes are handmade in our designer's homelands Greece and in Finland. ONAR strictly follows a zero-waste policy. The tanneries belong to Leather Working Groupthat on its behalf controls sustainable practices among the leather industry.
